With the console version in non-service mode, simply close the console window. Killing it via the task manager can result in loss of WU. If you are running it as a service, I believe you can make a .bat file that uses the NETSTOP command. Do a search in this forum for more info on that procedure.

Exactly. I have a `Start Folding` and `Stop Folding` .bat file that just issues the NET STOP -or- STOP <servicename>.
Right click over My Computer and goto Manage Once Management Console loads go to Services at the bottom Find the F@H Service if you installed the console as a service RightClick and go properties and copy the service name, will be something like this with the + sing for spaces: FAH@C:+Program Files+F@H+FAH504-Console.exe Create a new text file on your desktop or where ever and issue these commands, note the quotes Start Folding.bat ----------------------------- NET START "FAH@C:+Program Files+F@H+FAH504-Console.exe" Stop Folding.bat NET STOP "FAH@C:+Program Files+F@H+FAH504-Console.exe" Of course replace the servicename in quotes above with the one you copied from Compuer Management console.

Stop on boot?
Just go into the same Management Console, Services and set the startup mode to Manual.. It won't start automagically but you'll need to start/stop when you feel like it. As well if you didn't re-configure it to use anything but `Idle` cycles, playing a game it shouldn't interfere. It only processes when CPU is below a certain threshhold. I let me run all the time while playing games and no noticeable lag or slowdown. I do like the .BAT files because I run mine other than `idle` and it consumes 50% of each core all the time this way. For config's like this is nice to have the .BAT files to on-demand start/stop it.
