Default Folding problem

Hey All - I'm a new folder. I installed the console version, ran -config, but the program is getting hung up on my first folding attempt. Did I miss something? Here's the log:
2:34:45] - Ask before connecting: No

[02:34:45] - User ID not found locally

If that doesnt work then jsut go graphical. I like graphical mroe anyway, it shows you frames per second and stuff. Graphical lets you have all the options right there, with no need for fahmon.

Not that i know of... Once you start it up you put in your name and your name will show up in th stats as soon as you finish a WU.

Trying to avoid graphical - argues too much with games and requires babysitting - I'm with a friend that folds. We're stuck.

Maybe we are being too hasty regarding the graphical version. Maybe it configures smarter than the concole. We could start with the graphical and switch to the console.

Hey, what personal firewall are you using? I had that EXACT same problem on my laptop that was running Mcafee personal firewall and all of the other stuff it has. (it came with the laptop). After uninstalling that crap and puting zone alarm as my personal firewall it is running fine. I would try using a different firewall, that is what solved that problem for me! Good luck!
