when i want to log on in the txt mode how do i log in with root instead of my normal user?

Just type username as 'root' and the root password.

Well, i apear to be up and folding; i don't appear to be using an CPU? Is that normal. Should i close the terminal, or, am i supposed to leave it open? Sorry for all the noobie questions...

Hmm, after a reboot i now cant do much of anything in vmware. It asks me to log on, but there is no local host option.

Can you take a screenshot of what it says?

Leave the terminal open.

Text mode I do not know how to install them, but unless you are planning on tinkering around with Linux in text mode dont worry about it.

Just wait a few minutes for the local host service to start. If it doesn't after a few minutes, go into administrative tools - services, and manually start any service that starts with "vm". That should do the trick.

Yesterday I was folding fine and after a reboot this morning I get to a certain point after I start F@H, but, it doesn't start folding? Anyone else get stuck here?
