If you go to the forums, there is a link to the beta. However, from what I have seen so far, the Windows SMP client is a bit slower than the Linux one. I think that running in a 32-bit as opposed to 64-bit environment is to blame for this.

So it would be best to run it on a Windows 64 bit OS... Mebby, you may want to include in your "faq" where to download the client, since its not in the F@H website download section yet, and this is the first I've heard of it.

Do I need to make 2 folders, 1 for each core? Or will SMP utilize both cores with 1 folder?

Maybe I did something wrong but mine doesn't start when I boot up. I'm not loading at 100%. I had 5.04 before installing this one. I made sure to delete those folders and stop the services (not sure how to make them disappear from the services list).
Either way when I start this one it won't start when I boot into windows. Sorry to hijack I just get impatient sometimes. It'll only run if I manually run the fah.exe but I don't want to have a minimized window there all the time.

Try the "services.msc" to stop the service... to remove it from Sevice, not sure.

If they would only make a 64bit SMP, that would be awesome for folding. Although the Linux SMP is for a 64bit OS, they say its 32bit, and that the 64bit Linux has to have 32bit compatibility.

If you want it to start up automatically though, it's pretty easy to do. Just create a shortcut to fah.exe on your desktop or wherever. Then just drag that shortcut into your Startmenu--->All Programs--->Startup. Then when your computer boots up, it will run it automatically, and it will then run at 100% utilization no problem . I would probably also then delete your client.cfg in the Folding folder, and redo your settings, telling it to remove itself as a service. If you delete only the client.cfg file, you can redo all your settings again, without losing any of your current work. Now after you do this, it will bring the window for it opened up on your desktop after bootup, and you will have to minimize it. There's an easy fix for this also, just go to that particular shortcut you previously placed in the Startup folder. Right click on that, and click properties. Under the Shortcut tab, where it says Run, change that to minimized and click apply. Now when the computer boots, it will start it up at 100%, plus minimize it for you as well .Sorry though, I'm not sure if it's possible, to make it not show up at least as a minimized app on the taskbar . Maybe someone knows of a way, but as far as I know, if you close the app, it stops. I guess it wouldn't really bother me to have it minimized on the taskbar, maybe another thing they'll fix on future release and make it run more stealthy??

Is the WinSMP client still slower in PPD than the VMWare/Linux SMP combination?
