Firewall problem?
Ok, so this PC I have here at work that sits and idles 98.74% of the time so I want to fold on it too (busy on my first WU @ home
 )... but this PC is behind Websense firewall and I am not able to connect to the assignment servers  I have entered the proxy info etc. the same as I have it configured on Firefox (and I am able to connect with Firefox ie this post  )... what else can be wrong (this is a golden opportunity for major folding  )

get all buddy buddy with your network administrator and have him forward port 8080 to that computer's internal IP or just open 8080.

sigh... this company is so freakin computer paranoid they have even disabled paint on the computers (don't even try to change your wallpaper)... at least some of us more stuborn ones have found inovitave ways to get things done but getting our admins to do anything like that (there is more chance of me becoming pregnant (oh, I'm not a girl )):  So... if anybody else has any ideas

Do you have access to another computer on the 'Net? You could always fold off of a flash drive and upload results/download work elsewhere.
