i downloaded vmware and successfully installed linux on it, but when i enter the command wget http://folding.stanford.edu/release/FAH_SMP_Linux.tgz to download it, i get this error: Resolving folding.stanford.edu... failed: Temporary failure in name resolution. anyone know what error this is?

I think you need to add the download link to the sources list...

hmm, i dont think im connected. i tried jumping on firefox and just connecting to google.com and couldnt connect.
how do i go about fixing my connection?

Need more info as to what you're using to connect online. Wireless card, ethernet, and make/model of the card.
