My condolences to all who have lost someone to this terrible dissease.

When my Uncle was fighting it, I wanted to do something, anything to help, but I couldnt...this is my way of fighting back.

I am sorry to hear about your uncle. That is too young of an age. Hopefully with the help of everyone folding we can learn and find cures for these diseases.

My mom got breast cancer when I was 15. She fought it off for years with chemo. It went into remission then re-appeared in her bone marrow. From there it spread like a wild fire destroying every organ she had. She died in her bedroom. Yellow from jaundice. Suffocating in her oxygen mask. I was right there when she closed her eyes for good. She fought hard. She was a warrior.

Cancer treatment gives you hope but, ultimately, cannot fight the onslaught of this terrible disease. We need to fight it with technology. As hard as we can.

Indeed. I'm folding for my grandmother.. for the most part, even though I know it can't save her. But maybe other people.

I'm sick of people dying because of this disease, so many...

My grandather . . . prostate cancer
My best friends grandfather . . . lung cancer
My step-aunt . . . breast cancer

To fold is to save. The more people who fold the better chance of finding a cure. I fold because I care.
