Try looking at these threads. http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.ph...st=0&sk=t&sd=a http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2072 EDIT: There was a power outage at stanford so that could have been part of the issue http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4943 I have never had this problem before. Sounds like a hard drive issue.

re-downloaded it, and got it to work.
but FaHMon don't always identify the VMware client, when it doesn't, i have to login to \\ubuntu. is there anyway to set up a guest account, so there is no need to login?

Did you select the 64-bit version of Linux in the virtual machine settings? Did you install a 64-bit Linux? Do you have virtualization enabled in your BIOS?

I redownloaded the server app and it says for 64 bit and 32 bit.. so idk if i have to change a setting or something. there is nothing in the installation about which to chose.. the linux is 64 bit yes... and i will reboot and see ifi have virtualization enabled. EDIT: mobo was the problem thanks. +REP
