Yes if you change the version number for example in the command
Code:
wget .... /FAH6.02-Linux.tgz
change the 6.02 to the newest version number.

Did you use notepad or wordpad to edit the .vmx file? Because I had issues when using notepad. You may want to try the .vmx file again or a new one.

You get larger WUs worth a lot more points with the Linux SMP client.

You need to keep the terminal session open for the client to run. Are you sure you made the button right?

You can also run the client by opening a new terminal and use this command.
Code:
/home/ubuntu/Fah/startfah
It will only work if you installed the Fah client into that folder. If you followed the guide correctly it should.

Virtualization can significantly slow down some operations, because of the overhead used to run it. Also you cannot get 3D acceleration in any virtualization, and there are no system specific drivers in this VM. Despite the extra overhead the linux client is a lot more efficient than the windows one and you get more points and runs faster like error10 has stated.

Hm, you have serious problems there. I got 3,667 points yesterday so obviously that thing is not running like it should. It shouldn't take more than a minute or so from bootup to login screen, unless your dual core CPU is loaded. Try seeing what processes you have running that are eating up all your CPU. (Like, maybe, F@H?)
