What should I look for in my task manager to change the priority of SMP? It's folding really slow (20mins WU) when I do absolutely nothing on my computer.

Check affinity in task manager and see if it's using both cores. It should take about 12-13 minutes for a 3.2ghz system.

go to processes, find smpd, highlight it, right click on it and there is your priority.

I see those in the folder, but I don't see them in the processes.

If you're on Vista, then make sure to check the "Show processes from all users" at the bottom under the Processes tab.
You should be able to find FahCore_a1.exe afterwards.

Yes, that is too many.
![]() You should only have two. I have four on my quad and each FahCore_a1.exe runs at 25% each. So you should only have two of them running 50% each. Like gibsonnova74 have asked, which version of SMP are you using? Maybe there's an issue there.
