Default Guide:Installing F@H UBUNTU

1) Go to Places, Go to your Home, then Create a Folder (name it anything you want) for simplicity I chose "1fold". I also have "2fold" to run a second instance.

2) Go to Firefox and download the FAH6 client from Stanford.

3) After download extract to folder "1fold"

4) Install ia-32libs through sudo by typing "sudo apt-get install ia32-libs". Follow the directions. Close terminal window.

5) After installing the 32bit Libraries, Open another terminal. Type cd 1fold to change folders

6) type chmod +x fah6 (to make the fah6 an executable file)

7) type ./fah6 -smp to start the client. Go through the questions and your done!

8) If you want a second instance, repeat everything but:

> change the folder to "2fold"
> skip step #4 download of ia32-libs (you already have the latest)
> change the machine id to #2

I was going to ask if there is any way of hiding the console window so that my dad doesn't close it, but then I remembered there is a second desktop.

I'll just hide it there.
