Why are you not Folding?

Guide: nVidia GPU2 Fah 6.12 beta6
*IMPORTANT* BEFORE PART 1 UNINSTALL CURRENT NVIDIA DRIVER.
PART 1 1. Download the latest Drivers for nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/content/forcew...s/download.asp Choose your Version (XP x86 x64, Vista x86 x64) then download the driver, follow instructions. 4. Reboot. PART 2 Download Riva Tuner from: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163 Follow instructions to install. Overclock the GPU. I have my 8800GT 512mb @ 725/1704/900 Stable. Shader OC is the most important. PART 3 Download F@H: http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandeg...tray-612b6.msi Follow instructions, fill in your info. PART 4 Download Fahmon: http://fahmon.net/ 1. Install fahmon and update project list. 2a. (Vista) To point it to the GPU folder, SEARCH for APPDATA. In AppData locate the folder that says ROAMING. In Roaming find Folding@home-gpu folder. Right click on folder and copy location into the Fahmon. 2b. (XP) Point Fahmon to C:\Documents and Settings\{user name here}\Application Data\Folding@home-gpu

Nice. Short and to-the-point.
Note that the folding client is VERY sensitive to overclocking. The overclock on my best 8800 which was artifact free and stable in any game hangs during folding...

Nitteo, you have really stepped it up on this nvidia GPU2 folding. Thanks for all the hard work you have put in to make it easier for everyone to get started with the GPU2 folding. Personally, I was able to get mine going because of your threads. Keep up the great job, and fold on. rep+

I didnt want the new excited GPU folders to get frustrated. Every folder counts in this race against time. Let me know if a link is broken... Keep'em Folding!

Cause that wont work for xp, easyest way to find the dir is on the folding shortcut do propties and see where the path leads to.

Here is how I did it. Start\My Computer\C: drive\ Documents and Settings\(your name) mine was in the Administrator folder\Start menu\programs\Folding@Home-GPU. You should see the Folding@Home GPU icon now(shortcut). Right click on it, go to properties, then copy the start in: dir. in fahmon, you should be good to go now.
