C:\Documents and Settings\" Your account" \Application Data\Folding@home-gpu (Depending on OS) and find the core file "FahCore_11.exe" Select that file and delete it. Then reboot your system When you start the GPU folding client this time, it will automatically download the new core, and it will show the version 1.06 instead of 1.05 when the core is engaged, which of course can be found in the log files. Location is the same folder as shown above. "FAHlog.txt" http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=3585 Remember this is beta stage and updates come as they work through the bug list (This update will help stability).

Increases stability (ie. lag while running other programs) and may use less CPU cycles. Some notice a big difference while others didn't (Depending on hardware and OS). Core changes fix problems is the main issue. There will be more throughout the beta process.

For Vista users probably not a lot. XP users who have had issues with high CPU utilization and sluggish desktop behavior should see improvements.

I just done it and I havn't really noticed any changes, still a bit of lag and high CPU usage although my GPU temp seems to have dropped a little though ;l

I just installed it, and my desktop, as well as Firefox seem to be experiencing a lot less lag. Rep for the find!

Any one having issues with the core trying to download and delete its self, and download a new copy repeatedly?
I tried manually deleting it, and rebooting, but it still keeps saying I have a corrupt core, and tries to download a new one, only to have it crash. EDIT: I have two computers down (my 8800GT and my 8800GTS 640) that are both fully down, due to this.
