Default trouble getting FahMon to work in linux

When i try to compile a version of FahMon in my openSuSE, it tells me: wxWidgets must be installed on your system.

Please check that wx-config is in path, the directory
where wxWidgets libraries are installed (returned by
'wx-config --libs' or 'wx-config --static --libs' command)
is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH or equivalent variable and
wxWidgets version is 2.8.0 or above.

Im sure that widgets is installed, i dont know how to get past this, if someone can tell me what to do with this id appreciate it greatly.
