Default Folding + gaming possible?

with the new CUDA beta drivers i was able to start folding with my gpu and i'd like to know if it's possible to play while folding or if do i have to quit fah before.
it'd be a pain in the ass to quit the thing every time i want to play something.

I play TF2 with the folding running, no problem whatsoever. Everything at maximum and 1680x1050 so presumably a relatively big workload for it. I guess the folding slows down for the DirectX application, I haven't really looked.

that's how regular folding works,if some app requires the cycles f@h stops using them until they are freed, but i don't know if GPU works that way.

it doesn't work very well,i get 30fps or less in cod while folding and that's my most played game.
so i guess it's a no-go.

I would think it depends on the specific game...

I have played the Witcher while folding before, and have noticed small lags and drops.

But if I play Portal, I don't notice anything, but then if I go and start BF2 or BF2142, I notice Frame drops again.

I know for me, COD4 w/ GPU2 creates little lag spikes and "glitches" for me. Playable, but annoying.

Expect a 40% or so frame drop. I went from a 140FPS average on a COD4 map staring at the wall with the folding off to 80FPS with the folding on. Then you turn around and it lags a little bit. Spamming bullets can bring me down as low as 45FPS.

Turn off AA and some textures and you should be fine.

Playable, but annoying - agreed.

I can't play COD4 and fold on the GPU2 client at the same time. I have tried it 4 times, it has locked up all 4 times. I pause the folding, and it works fine.
