Default 2 8800gts running now... should I shutdown smp?

Sorry for the HUGE picture... I read that I had to connect my second card to a second monitor so now I have this huge screen I can't use because I don't have a second monitor. I got around this problem by connecting both cards to the same monitor using different connections (vga and dvi) I was going to edit the picture using photoshop but system lagged really badly when I opened PS. Perhaps an indication that smp + 2 GPU2 clients= too much?

edit: thought of all the people who don't have 24" screens so I edited the picture

You might be able to get away with 1 SMP + GPU2 + GPU2. The SMP using 2 cores, the first GPU2 using 1 core, and the second GPU2 using 1 core.

I'll report back later on the results... so far everything looks good.

edit: The display for both clients is completely useless. Before I could open it and at least see the numbers running. Now the entire computer slows down. No crashes but just really slow. (but then again who opens the display right?)

Yeah, don't use the viewer. You can use fahmon on both GPU2's right?

Yes sir you can. At first I thought something was wrong because they were running the same project but after further investigation I found that that was impossible because they are both assigned to different folders and their progress is differs a little bit.

Yea, running dual SMP instances and GPU2 will slow down your computer a bit. I'm running it now and I can feel it a little bit. Nothing major, but I have my laptop for most of my stuff, so it doesn't really matter.

Well actually I'm only running one instance of smp. I'm running two instances of GPU2.

I do fold on my laptop, just GPU2. I pause it while I game though, the 8600M already struggles with my games :P
