I do not have to re-evaluate anything. I think it is you who needs to re-evaluate.
Hey I wouldn't mind a cure for cancer...I'm saying the corporate goons that run everything don't want the cure.

My mindset is realistic, thinking that folding with your rig will cure the world is naive.

Does Cancer suck? Sure it does, its not going to change anytime soon.

I dont think Folding with my rig in collaboration with THOUSANDS of others in an effort to help scientists research diseases is niave. I also did not say anything about curing the world. Such a mindset would indeed be niave. However I did not state that.

Perhaps Cancer and Huntintons ETC will be around for a long long time. However that does not mean we should give up and lose hope. If we had no hope then nothing would get achieved.

I did not say Folding will cure diseases in 10 minuits. It will take a while. However nobody here actually knows how long it will take. Could be 50 years...could next year. Could be next week.

We cant just sit around and think ''Whats the point it will take ages to come up with a cure''. Such Negativity in the long run will be the end of the Human race and I dont mean that in just this sense but we need to have hope to create the motivation that hopefully will lead us to a cure.

As to the corporate goons..well to be frank, Screw them if they will stop positive progression. I will happily fight them to the ends of the earth. We dont need such loosers.

Well if this were a nice world then yeah thousands of people collaborating would help cure a disease...if everyone lived under the mindset of "For the greater good" then we'd be fine.

I'm just speaking in terms of conspiracy, theres probably already a cure for Cancer...if we can build a bomb that can blow up a planet we can cure a disease that accelerates cell growth.

It is a nice world, it all depends where you are looking. There are already thousands of people folding towards a cure. Yes there are still many things wrong in this world. However im just focusing on folding in this instance.

Conspiracy...Sure there are alot of things kept hidden from the public. As for a cure being kept secret...maybe,maybe not. Theres no point in trying to debate it though because you will never know.

Whats the point in fighting about something you do not know about . I say we should fight for what we do know about and create awareness of it. Such as Folding.

I think its more along the lines of we are understanding more and more of these diseases and cancer's everyday and hopefully we will get to a point where we have a highly effective and easier way to combat these horrible things.

After reading this thread (which turned me on to the F@H project) Ive downloaded the client and started getting busy helping the OCN team and the human race for that matter. And I truly feel for you and your family Enterprise, stay strong bro.

Very kind of you mate. You know where to come if you have any questions on it. Sometimes it can get a little finicky..but most of the time it just chugs along just fine.

Its great to see another member helping out. I hope to see a little red cog in your postbit soon. For that you would need to contact Tearic though to tell him you are folding. Then hopefully your rank will soon appear

Nice one fellas.

well i just spent the last 4 hours at work after house, retreiving files from a wrecked pc (user error(not me))

AND managed to install a SMP client on one of the dual core rigs there, i chose that one to try it on first because it is on 24/7 as a file + print server. It's a pentium D 3ghz one. There is at least one AMD x2 i can get hold of too, and a handful of laptops. Still, every WU counts.
