8800GTX Whistle whilst folding
Hey, When i fold on my 8800GTX, it gives off a very annoying high-pitched noise. It doesn't do it while gaming or ATI tool stress test.
Just wondered if there's anything that can be done about it (exept stop folding of course)

Ya it doesn't surprise me, I guess that F@H puts even more load than ATI Tool, mine whistled too back then even with ATI Tool lol.

that would be the capacitors whining, nothing can be done about it and is completely normal

I sleep right next to my PC, and it's quite hard to nod off with that whistling sound on constantly. I guess i'll just have to put up with it.

That noise is normal. Mine does it too and with high amount of FPS.

My squeal was actually my PSU, thought it was my GTX until I ran the PSU outside of the case.

Mine does it too, sounds like my old crappy MSI board. Doesn't bother me though, and if it breaks I just have an excuse to buy R700.

Your supposed to whistle while you work, so whats the problem?
Thats nothing, my 8800GT jams my favorite radio station. Serious, I have the radio set to 107.1, and have it about 2 feet from the computer, when I turn on the GPU client it gets very staticy; shut it off, and the radio station comes in crystal clear.
