what cpu to get
I found a great deal here at ocn on a evga 680i mb and a 8800 gt and now I need a cpu that will work with that mb but not break the bank(this rig is just for folding)
This is the cpu I am thinking of getting Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz but I have no problem changing. As next semester tuition is coming up id like to keep it under 150. thanks all

For gpu folding a celeron dual or e2180, if doing some smp w/gpu look for a used quad.

Since you will not be needing to run your cards in SLI, might I recommend a board with the Intel chipset with 2x PCI-e slots? I think you might be able to overclock your CPU higher that way.
I've had a bad experience with a 680i LT and a Quad so I am a little jaded. But your experience may be different.
