Default i7 processors PPD?

How much ppd do the i7 processors get? I would expect them to be really good folders.

I would think that a proper GPU would still outdo it for a better price.

Was that for 2 cores or all 4 cores, cause that's pretty crappy for all 4 cores folding. I don't think the i7 isn't really all that much of an improvement over the C2 in regards to most apps right now.

And with the i7 shouldn't you be able to run say 4 instances of vmware+ubuntu since it can run 8 threads. That should pump out about 12k ppd if it could.

I have no idea what would cause that. It's Windows and I've had absolutely no luck getting the Windows SMP client to work. I run SMP on Linux.

I'll let you know my results if I decide to upgrade to Core i7 next week. But I've theorized you should be able to get 7,000 to 10,000 PPD out of one.

F@H doesnt take advantage of hyperthreading so I wouldnt expect it to to much better than a well OCed 45nm quad.

The only discussion of hyperthreading and F@H I can find deals specifically with the Pentium 4 implementation and the single core clients, not with Nehalem or SMP clients on Nehalem.
