Default Hello to everyone from the MaximumPC folding team

Hello to everyone from the MaximumPC folding team

You gentlemen have moved up the ranks in a big way, congratulations.

Many teams are currently between 1-2 million ppd and folding is more exciting because of it.

I'm happy to see nitteo ramping up again.
We got to know him well in the past.
He stopped by our forum often and we enjoyed his visits.

My main reason for stopping by was to let you know about a race we do every May which we call the chimp race.
Initially it was just between us and overclockers.com, but the 3rd race this year included all four of the top teams at the time.

We agree on a number of points for the race and at a specified date and time a program starts counting and reporting the progress of all the contestants.

The great race graphs available are very popular for the rest of the race.

There is nothing to win except the honor and prestige of coming in first over the best in folding.

I expect enough entries this year that final placement will also be important to many (2nd, 3th etc).

Nitteo is well aware of the race as he has participated in a few.

It's more a race of how many you can muster from the team and there are strategies in play.

Enough for now, lots of time left.

If you're interested, serious preparation normally starts in April.

We have had contact with several other teams.

In the last few months many of the Russian team stopped by,
They shared pictures of life in their part of the world.
They have several very capable photographers.

I just recently contacted CustomPC, the British team who have a great magazine supporting them and are also right on our tail these days.
That contact is very recent, but there are a few pictures in their thread also.

You are all welcome to stop by our forum and check out what goes on Click Here .

Leave a joke in the joke thread and you will get an email as new ones are entered.

Find the SpotLights in the Thread of Treads sticky and learn about 44 of us in great detail (pictures, location, pets, hobbies other than folding and more).

Nitteo just recently entered a guess in the, What the Heck Car is that game (he didn't get it right).

I shouted out a quick hello, but got no answer.

Will definitely enjoy when he has the time to have some fun again.

This sounds all well and good, I have just one question. Why is there a taco running in the monkey race? I don't get it.

Fast food. 'Nuff said.

What's that thing in the distance? It looks like a McDonaldsified mountain or something...
See what OCN does to threads?
