Hey Guys, just started putting together a couple of dedicated folders... just got a new job, always wanted to build one of these, and I figure now is the time

I'll be ordering parts when I find them at good prices

but so far, it's a pretty done deal

Rig 1:
4x 9600 GSOs ( I will vmod and OC them)
P6N Diamond
Q6600 B3 (will be OCed)
Xigmatek s128 w/ crossbow mounting kit and ultra Kaze
Mobo Tray
750W Silverstone decathlon PSU
80GB SATA HDD
2GB of G.Skill RAM

Rig 2:
4x 8800GSs (again I will vmod and OC them)
P6N Diamond
E2180 (will be OCed)
Xigmatek s128 w/ crossbow mounting kit and ultra Kaze (need to order Xiggy)
Mobo Tray
750W refurbed Cooler Master PSU
60GB laptop SATA HDD

Very nice man, i wish i could do that.

Personally i'd ditch SMP and grab some cheap E1200 or somehing similar.
I've heard flash drives as hard drives sacrifice PPD because you can't write fast enough, but i could be wrong. A cheap HDD can be found cheap anyway
I just bought 4GB of OCZ Fata1ity on newegg for like $35 bucks with free shipping, check it out.

use 180.60 or higher driver for your GPU's. 0% usage of the CPU and very little RAM usage. You can easlily get away w/ using 1-2GB total. Having more ram will not make them fold any better.

how about you use a USB flash drive and then use a RAM disk. would that be the best of both worlds (if not better) each one of my Folding directory is only 17 or so megabytes so i cant see any problem with it myself

just landed a great deal on a used Q6600 and 4GBs of RAM

so this rig is moving along nicely

also just passed into the top 200 folders here on OCN

can't wait for this rig to get up and running

yeah I know, thats what I expected, but I need a mobo to test these cards in and A) confirm they're G92 core... B) begin OCing them, volt mod them C) get them folding

Looking for a P7N Diamond, anyone???

Need one for like $150 shipped to my door, they're $127 + s/h on the egg...

I'm from Canada newegg here has ridiculously high prices... these cards are from tigerdirect, as per the link in OP, and I hope they're 96 SP, G92 core...
