this is all really interesting thanks guys! i also read Hueristic's thread.

just a few things i was thinking about.

1. i always thought of GPU2 folding as being contained in each graphics card (aka most of the information doesn't leave the card) and therefore it would not need that much pci-e bandwidth there fore you brand new GTX 295 could be cranking out the PPD on a PCI 1x

2. if the card doesn't have a pci-e power connector could it burn out something in the motherboard because of the high power draw
