I haven't folded for a long time, but I figured I might as well with this rig.
Note, I haven't followed any guides, I just downloaded Windows SMP for Vista and installed it, it's only active on one core since it's only using 50% of the cpu usage so I need to get that changed, wouldn't mind having it run on my GPU too if I can with this one. My main concern is, with one core from my CPU, should I really only be getting 212 PPD? Any help would be great!

That seems to be about right. You can get more points by adding all the cores, but you would get the most production from your GPU. Don't expect miracles from an ATi card though.

Yes, single core folding is slow. Enable the -smp flag; you can read how to do this here if MPICH is what you downloaded.

Not going to use VMWare or anything like that, this computer runs screwy enough with what I have on it.
I set the SMP flags and it's now working on SMP Gromacs so I think I've got it set up right, I'll check up on how far it got after work.

Probably not 2kppd, as I got 1300ppd on my e4600 @ 2.8 under Linux SMP. Probably something more like 1kppd or so for an E4700 and Windows.

Much better than 212.

Just installed the F@H GPU too, my CPU has dropped to 881 PPD (I think it's because I was playing WoW earlier and my GPU is 848 PPD right now so about 1729 PPD now.
MUCH MUCH better than 212 PPD! Now I just need to finish a core and get my postbit back.
