• And i got some feedback that, this would be an excellent idea, and to post up a thread for ideas,times,dates,etc. I pm'ed a mod and he said this was an excellent idea and i should post up a thread.
  
• So here goes, i was thinking that one day for 24 hours we as OCN can fold together for the cause, and to raise OCN's WU's.
  
• I do know that some of our members do have folding farms, and fold as much as they can and put a lot into the numbers and the cause. I thank you all for this, but right now with a desperate times of a bad economy the power has kinda hit home for a few of us. This has caused me to turn my computer off as much as i possibly can, to conserve a few bucks here and there. I am sure this as hit a few other members as well, and i wish us all the best of luck right now in this economy.
  
• I first want to get an idea for how many people would be down for this idea, to donate our time and money to get our computers folding. I would like to start this out with a bang something for us to get a goal for the next time.
  
• I also want to see what is the best time for everyone to get to folding. The best day of the week.
  
• So please feel free to provide input, this is just not my thing I want as much feedback as i can get. Feel free to straight up tell me this idea is stupid if you dont like it. Or tell me great idea I am ready to fold whenever. I just want input.

Great Idea Anything to help the cause and OCN is appreciated. I myself fold 24/7 and am gettign a farm started, hope to get 2 dedicated folding rigs online soon ... but its a great idea for all those who can't dedicate as much time and energy as some of us.

My comp is set up to fold 24/7 now. I think that means I'm in.

As soon as I get a wireless card, I'll have a second (although horribly horribly crappy) folding rig online, and I have to check and make sure F@H is still running on my gfs comp. I'll do what I can to help the cause.

I got all my rigs fired up last week. Pulling 14-15K PPD now and I'm starting to dream of stacks of 8800GSs.

I'll be vvveeerrryyy tempted to spend some of my tax rebate on 4 GPUS for a dedicated folder in April...

sounds good to me. ill definitely help out on this. if i can just get my GPU client fixed to where it will actually finish a WU and keep quitting on it and getting new ones. altho it does complete some. hrm. GTX 260 coming in tomorrow..will be folding on that and the CPU overnight while not gaming.

love the idea, but im already 24/7 as is with 3x smp {soon 5x}, 3 gpu {soon 4x} and a few single core clients {most mine, some freinds}.


but id love to see the ppd OCN as a whole could put out.

I, like others fold 24/7 anyways. I do think that if we did this it should be done when most members electricity is on "off peak" hours. My off peak hours are on weekends. I don't know about anyone else, but that would be the ideal time for me. Have the fold a thon on a Saturday.
