For your rig and your uptime check the VMWare SMP section of the guide and the multi-gpu. These are basically links to other guides there and some useful tips
Good luck and welcome to the fold!

Great guide! I've been reading up on Folding for awhile now and hope to be up and running tonight. Guide helped a lot, thanks for the nudge to get involved

2 week bump. Figured people who joined for the fold-a-thon might want to check this out if they're planning to go full time.
Updated the format of the guide some time ago, it's a lot cleaner and far more readable now.

This goes without saying but

ok stupid question, I'm 99% sure I have setup as a service in Win7 Pro but every time I start up I have to manually start up my CPU client .

Its just single core right now, I may go to the SMP client, but for now I need to figure out why I have to start up manually.

Any suggestions?

What do the logs say? Does running it as a service generate logs at all?

Try this:
Winkey(the one with the windows flag on it) + R
Type services.msc
Find the folding@home service you created. Is it running? Is it set to run on startup?

After some testing I've done myself the latest SMP .exe drop-in does not work as a service some times. It worked fine on a clean Win 7 Ultimate installation though.

Try running the f@h exe with -configonly to remove the service and then again to install it.
