Virus discovered in FahCore_a1.exe??? FIXED!
UPDATE: So far the newest update to AVAST has eliminated the FahCore_a1.exe "trojan" warning. I simply updated AVAST (it probably did this anyway automatically) and began folding on the CPU again. Will update again if the problem returns. My suspicion is that it was a "False Positive".
Hi Everyone, Well AVAST just did a "Whooooop Whoooop Virus has been detected!" on my machine. It states that there is a Trojan Horse in the C:\FAHCPU\FahCore_a1.exe.... Malware name is Win32:Swizzor[Tri] Malware type: Trojan Horse VPS version 090402-1, 04/02/2009 I only use the computer to fold and answer email's and have not downloaded anything attachment wise since installation....pretty paranoid about that. Has anyone seen this? What should I do at this point???? Attached is the image I uploaded to show you all. I have NEVER had a virus in 20 years of computing that I know of except for a couple of years ago I had a mysterious iexplore.exe on my laptop.

Delete or move to chest. I usually delete them.

Fah Core, Hell. Delete, Run A scan and reinstall F@H
EDIT: Do a malware scan also eg spybot s&d or malware bytes

Yeah happened to another OCN member earlier today, turns out it's the latest AVAST update that is messign things up.

Has anyone checked the folding forums to male sure it is a false positive? Just wondering, maybe their servers hot hacked.

I have found some info on the subject....just in a "holding pattern" right now awaiting someone to come up with a definitive answer.

Not causing any harm by Deleting and reinstalling. Running a scan etc. If it happens again then we know its a falsey
