I had problems folding in windows 7 too, it wasn't putting my GPU under full load all the time and my PPD would go up and down. I tried with several different drivers and not overclocked but nothing worked

i can tell you that you were getting misreadings on those 511s. the only cards i have truly seen get atleast 6K on a 511 were 200 series cards.

tbh, if you're getting all 6K on each kind... thats a bit odd as the all the other ones should definitely be higher than 511 pointers..

you could also try setting your affinity higher for your gpu client. that helps sometimes.

well I cant say exactly what I was getting before as I have lost that info for the moment.(hopefully) But I know I was getting just shy of 6k If I let it go nonstop and I believe between the different WU's was a fluctuation of ~500ppd.

When I was folding on Win7 I just used the most up to date Visat64 drivers, I had the 64Win7 beta.

Try this link.

i don't know if he can use those driver since he is using an 8 series card. they already dropped support for 8 series cards. pretty stupid imo.. conisdering they are still doing quite well.

That driver supports cards all the way back to the 6100 so Thanks!
+1
update: I'm going to let it finish out the day folding so I can get a decent ppd result then I am going to put the other drivers on to see If that helps and will report back.

well I just noticed that the drivers mentioned above are for Vista 64bit, and yet they work on win7 64bit. Thank you again!

Well the preliminary results are in:
driver-----WU------PPD--------shaderclk
181.71----768------4951---------1625
182.50----768------5750---------1944
Is is possible that the OC could have that much of a difference?

NP like I said those worked the best for me.

Yes shader clock makes a large difference in PPD. Looks like you found that out though.

Fold on!
