Default Windows 7 bad for folding????

Ok well I took the plunge due to my Vista Install getting destroyed.(I dont wanna talk about it, dam kids) I put 7 64bit on one of my drives and let it fold a little. Vista was giving me about 6k ppd now on 7 I'm getting about 4600ish WTH? Is there anyone else here that has noticed a significant drop like this? I think It maybe due to the drivers but I have just gotten into 7 sooo I may not have it totally set up for the best speed. Oh yea also I cant Oc my card due to drivers not being recognized by riva.

Anyway I'm working on getting vista back up and running but I wanted to see If there was anyone who also saw this and to also let people know what I found.

Nah, I got equal PPD. If you overclocked your cards before in Vista that is why you are getting less in 7. What drivers are you using?

If you can't open rivatuner because of the 64bit signed driver thing, press F8 when the computer is booting and choose Disabled Signed Driver Enforcement. Also make sure you run rivatuner as Admin.

There is a program called ReadyDriver Plus that will automate the disabling of signature checking at boot. Do a quick google search

well I tired the F8 and It worked but still a no go for rivatunner. If I remember correctly there was a way to dissable it from within vista so I will have to go looking around in here. I may also try reinstalling riva just to be sure. BRB

edit: I will have to get back on this tomorrow as I am just to tired to think correctly. Thanks guys.

Yeah, "bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS" in console as admin. Apparently that does not work anymore in Vista SP2 and 7. I have not tried it yet though.

are you working on the same WU that you were working on in vista?

cause it almost sounds like you were working on a newer WU then when you got into win7, you dl'd a 511 pointer.
