Today I got a couple identical new gtx285s, put them in my sig rig & one is working normally, all speeds correct & getting 7k on a 768pt WU.
The other shows way underclocked & only getting 2700 on a 511. (pic attached) The gtx260 went from the sig into the folding rig to join the 260 already in there, same problem showing underclocked (exact same 300mhz 100mhz), but both cards getting low ppd. GPU1 getting 2700 on a 353 & GPU2 getting 2700 on a 511, before adding a 2nd card a 353 would get around 8000ppd on the gtx260. Using windows console clients, any ideas?

no sli bridge in yet, & it's loaded with a WU but still in slow motion...
__________________Edit: after installing the new cards in the sig rig I was continuing a work unit started earlier on the 260 & got 7k ppd for a 353 point, now that it started a new WU it also dropped to 2600 ppd for a 768 point. A bit disapponited, was getting around 15000 ppd from 2 gtx 260s, now getting 10000 ppd from 2 x 260s + 2 x 285s.

Are the parameters set correct? -gpu 1 ?
Did you set up the dummy plugs or dual monitors? Check the temp on both and make sure it's hitting both cards and not just one

Try rivatuner and make sure the clocks on the 3d are correct. you may have 3d clocks set as 2d. I don't use precision so that is all I can recommend.

Can't help the OP though as it happens. However (to the OP): did you do a clean uninstall of the old drivers? Also, I had the problem where F@H would not switch the gpu into intensive mode (2 modes, "2d" and "3d" or intensive) but it fixed itself oddly - about the time I set evga precision to overclock on startup. But it doesn't control the 2d modes at all so I am confused about the whole situation.

SlicketyRickety wins with the updated drivers suggestion. Overtired last night, I should've thought of that.
__________________Now getting 12k ppd from the gtx285s on a 511 & a 768, the gtx260 are also running a 511 & 768 for 10k ppd. Thanks for the help all. Edit: not quite all good yet, now to the smp clients, worked fine before messing with the gpus, just went to fire them up again & both rigs just barely flash the dos box & no smp running, much like supernoobs problem I just looked at...
