Default Q9550 ppd

I've posted this in the folding section because this is about folding mostly
I want to upgrade to a Q9550 E0, clock it at 4Ghz or more if possible and fold with it
My q6600 at 3.5ghz is netting me ~6K PPD. What kind of PPD would a Q9550 at 4ghz do? anyone folding with one of these at 4Ghz?
Even tho I know I would be getting much more PPD with an i7, its way out of my budget because it needs mobo and rams aswell

Default thanks.

Handy reference, ty. Just about to crack open VMWare/Ubuntu for the first time with dual SMP clients and had no idea what PPD a Q9550 was capable of. Cheers.

Check out this. You can run all 4 cores in 1 VMware and complete WUs much quicker. You should get around the same PPD as 2 clients, but it won't require as many resources. You should be able to complete 2 WUs in one client in the amount of time it takes to complete 2 WUs in 2 seperate clients.

Much obliged wire. It looks very promising as a means to obtain the maximum potential credit per 24 hour cycle. +1
