Exclamation 9600GSO for $40 after MIR - free shipping

Yeah, could go in the online deals section, but If I don't drop it here the folders might not see it.

Currently at NEWEGG and ChiefValue:

ASUS EN9600GSO/DI/512MD3/V2 Video Card for $40 with Free Shipping (after $20 MIR)

I live in Alaska (so no free shipping) but otherwise I'd definitely get one of these for folding. Rebate is good for purchases towards the end of the month. Could be used for a decent PPD cheapo folding rig.

Mine get 3500 at stock clocks, and around 4300 when overclocked to 625 core and 1800 shader.

Remember that usually MIRs only work for the first one.

Those 9600GSO's are the 128bit version and are missing 4 ROP's(only 8 vs 12 on 384mb GSO). I would stay away from those cards for folding. There are many complaints from folders who bought one. They would be great for an HTPC.

This has been posted multiple times in the deals section.

These are not quite as good as the 384 MB cards (due to the 128 bit interface as stated above), but not as bad as the 48 SP cards (since these are true 96 SP cards).
