I'v never used the notfreds, but one's I have used are pretty much all set up. All you need to do is set the user name and hit enter a few times, type yes twice, and it's all set.

I currently use bal3wolf's, but i've tried error10's. I have heard good things about notfreds, just never tried it out.

i only just loaded it up been running short time (4000 PPD) a lot better then 1200-1700 PPD i was getting on the WinSMP (they really need to fix that the MPICH and Folding SMP just seems like an hack that an linux programmer did to make it work on windows)

how do i make it save the progress to the VM as it looks like its not going to keep the progress when i reboot the notfred, as looks like the VM was meant for disk less mode just not sure how to make it save progress or do i have to use an Pen drive ?

may also be i did not wait 15 mins for the back up to run, i looking around does it restore from backup when it boots up? not wanted to exit it yet as its at 30% now

other note VMware workstation 6.5.3 works fine with 4 cores after the edit to make it use 4 cores(it says it not be able to start the VM but it does any way)

I use bal3wolf's vm also right now. My 9850's at a bit over 2800 and I am getting 35-3800ppd. Not to bad I think.

With my gpu's set at above normal and the cpu at below normal 353's are between 35 and 38 sec and the 787's are around 119-123 for 8400ppd.

I tried notfred's vm twice and all it did for my system was create a swamp, I could not enter commands to log in, I ended up using Taskman to stop it from running.

just come back to me system and it had hanged at around 6pm (9pm now) it may have been team viewer that did that when i logged into it mite of bugged it out, hopefully its not the system but it has been running perfectly fine with WinSMP for an month or so fine, so i blame teamviewer this time as i norm do not log into it using that remote software, if it does it again i install VMware 6.5.3

quite impressed with the results like having an extra video card installed now and the video cards PPD are not affected (3700PPD avg and 5000 per video card), VMplayer is set to LOW when i start it up on my server (taskman), VMware workstation 6.5.3 on my system has no issues working with 4 cores set via edit from 2 to 4, says it not be able to start the VM from the settings but it does start any way

Using error's vm I get about 5500ppd with 4 cores and about 2800ppd with 3 cores.
I am only using 7 of the 8 cores for vm leaving the 8th core for my gpu's.
