No beep codes
I know the PSUs are fine
I've never OCed the cpu, so you're probably right. I just want to be absolutely sure before I try to RMA it.

RMA the board, my k9a2 did the same thing as yours so I just bought another one and it works now. Most likely a mobo prob.

That has happened to me 2 or 3 times. Everytime it was the Mobo. I agree with the others. I'm almost 100 percent sure it's the mobo.

It is easy to kill a CPU that wasn't that good from factory, I killed a x3 720 somehow, I think it was cause I clocked it too high (Died right after I finally got it stable at 4Ghz), but you never know.

Almost definitely the mobo in this case though, stock CPUs are tanks.

If you wanna make sure, I'd just let one of your folding rigs go down for half an hour or so and check it with the components from that, heck, it might even be a dead GPU on it causing it to not POST or something.

Do you have a pci vid card to try it with? no beep codes is bad sign. What were the circumstances? Was the system down and you were adding gpu and no restart or did it just die while folding?

I'll put my behind cpu being just fine. I hates MSI for this (There boards have been failing for forever). But it's really the only reasonable 4 pci-e solution that I know of.

This goes without saying but
1. If you can't afford to lose it don't mod or OC it.

I got mad respect for you val, but I have to say this....

I don't the the GX2s are right card to run anymore.

I think it is time you start branching in a new direction with regards to equipment. I know you spent a lot of cash on these GX2s, but they really seem to be too much trouble for the application they are running. (please don't bite my head off)
