First question: is my PPD being hurt by having the 8400GS fold as well as the 9800GT, or am I better off having the 9800GT alone?

Also; with both these cards folding 24/7, what kind of PPD am I looking at?

I haven't set them up yet, the rig is getting together as I type this. I was wondering what I could expect, though .

I want to say I got about 5k PPD with my 8800GT (same as your 9800GT). And the 8400GS got roughly 1k PPD if I remember correctly. I had both before as well.

And no, you won't hurt your PPD by having the 8400GS.

The 8400GS is PCI (the 9800GT is PCI-e). AFAIK, the bus doesn't matter much when folding, correct?

1k PPD on the 8400 GS is a little generous. I think I remember it got something like 600-700 PPD when I tried folding on one. Let me see if I can find something on it on OCN.

According to this thread, a 8400m GT got ~500 PPD, so I'd say it's reasonable that you'll get about 600-700 PPD on the 8400GS.
