I was folding on my GTX260 and remembered I had an old 7800 in the garage so I added that in. Using the same console win32 GPU app to fold as I did before, I'm getting less speed with the GTX260 + 7800 combined than I was with the GTX260 alone. My 260 could complete a 353 point job in just over 60 minutes where as now its showing about 2.5 hours. Interestingly, both cards are processing at about the same speed.

Any ideas?

Only 8800 and above cards can fold, your 7800 isn't doing anything.

If you're running in SLI, your GTX 260 will run at the same speed as the lower card.

But it seems that your issue has been resolved already.

Thanks for the reply Daney, no I am def not running it in SLI.

The thing I don't get is why the folding client let me run two console instances at the same time and I also noticed that when I was running them, the GPU temps on both cards went up to 50c which what I normally see on my GTX260 when folding. So it SEEMED like it was working *shrug*
