even if its not visibly artifacting on your screen, the card may not be stable enough to fold on...

what did you have the shaders at? Dont worry about raising the core clock... it doesn't help very much with folding.

Find your highest stable shader clock, and then see what you can do about increasing the core a little bit.

like 1450 with bit lowered core. i had it up to 1550 and stable at one time but lowered it so i don't destroy the card.

i set the clocks to stock and it still says core is not running, (but every time i go to display it keeps restart a protein. but my WU process of 1800/200000 doesn't go away)

You'll have to shut the program down, clear the work file, and start it back up again, you probably exceeded your eue limit.

I would imagine they are pretty much on par for gaming, but the the two 8800's will crank out more ppd.
