I just want to bring to your attention some information about the GPU Competition, which we need more people for. We used to have more teams, but they've dwindled down. it's only allowed to run ONE GPU client for the competition, but it does NOT have to be a huge powerhouse. There's been teams running smaller cards, they just don't keep pace with the bigger PPD teams. I was in the comptition when i had an 8800GT

You're allowed ONE client. Currently, you can run one core of a GTX295, or a 285 or any other card, or ONE core of a GX2.

The powerhouse cards are in this order:
GTX295/GTX285/GTX275 are all top dog
GTX260
----- (that's the biggest PPD cards, but the rest i'll list anyway)
GTS250/9800GTX+
9800GX2 (one core)
9800GTX
9800GT/8800GT
4870X2/4870
9600GSO 96SP
4850
list goes on.

You should REALLY consider checking it out. There may not be openings, but create your own team! We all run 24/7, but if your team doesn't mind, you don't have to do it.

In addition, we have cash and prizes for winning first place!

Note: IF you are running a farm, you'll have to switch one of your GPUs over to a different name. For example, i could be "wierdo124_GPU" if i had a farm. Unfortunately i don't.

I find the GPU comp to be very fun, worth not running more than one card. It's a good time competing with other teams for first and second and third place.

you mean the cpu group and the gpu group than yes. if you mean fold on a user name for your self and on one for the gpu team than yes .

No I mean like could I use the same GPU2 client to fold for the GPU competition and the original team competition.

At the moment I'm a member of Victorious Secret only folding on my GPU, could I make a team on the GPU competition and fold with the same GPU?

At the moment it's not allowed but i'm pushing to get that ok'd too. Maybe the folding focus group can help do something about that
