After months of owning it I think I've finally decided to to put my expensive hardware to good use while I'm away from it.

Get EVGA precision to find your GPU temps.
and RealTemp to find your CPU temps. if its over 70-80*c see if there's any dust in the card, or raise the fan speed.

maximum of 81 on CPU during 9 hours of Prime95, and low 80's for my top GPU, higher 70's for the bottom one

I'm pretty sure Folding doesnt put as much stress on your CPU as Prime does.
See if you can get someone in here with a GTX285, I'm unsure of those temps, my 8800GTX does 63-64*C when folding 24/7, and i live in Florida. (if you have your cards OC'd all ((like core, shader and memory) you only need your shader for folding, but some core does help too)) Them CPU temps are also pretty high. (or it might be the 4.0 overclock)

I know the CPU is high, just finished OCing it to 4GHz, guess I might have to look into some water cooling...this damned hobby is so expensive!

No folding is generally about 5C-7C less than prime for my computers. I ran my E8400 at 4.35ghz 1.39v and temps ranging from 63C-71C for 17 months without any issues. I know others have have run into the mid 70C's without issues as well.
On the gpu side I tend to like to put the fan at 80%+ and most gpus will stay below 65C then.

Are you folding for OCN on one dual/quad/gpu, then I am looking for you. Send me a PM to find out more

Thanks lemans, of course I have custom fan profiles for my GPUs so that isn't a problem, I was just worried that my newly OCed core i7 might not take kindly to the continuous heat.

What voltage did it take to get 4GHz. If you can get stable at even a slightly lower vcore, it makes a big diff in temps.
