Ok, I finally got my SLI back up and running (now with GTX 275s ) and I hear that the new drivers let you fold without disabling SLI. Is there anything special I need to do to get this working? I have never had to make a dummy plug before to get it to work, is that needed for this? Whenever I try to start the second client it just says GPU not supported, try a new driver.

This is in windows 7, and I have a dual monitor setup.

Yup I have the same problems, allot of people say that SLI + folding works, well it may for them it does not for me. I don't know what they are doing differently.

Once I enable Quad SLI I can only extend the desktop to 4 monitors not 6 and only 2 clients can fold, its like my 3rd card doesn't exsist.
When I disable SLI I can extend it to 6 monitors and fold on 6 clients/GPUs.

Ive tried with Physx on and off, no luck also restarting doesn't do anything.

It works fine for me. I have a monitor on each card and it works perfectly. I just set it up as I normally would as if SLI wasn't enabled. I'm also using the latest WHQL drivers.

What? I thought both monitors had to be on one card if SLI was enabled?

You need to have your desktop extended to the same amount of monitors/dummyplugs that you have GPUs.

I think I got it. I just told it that I had a third monitor, extended my desktop onto it (so it has my 2 monitors plus a fake one), and now it works fine.

One more question, does it matter which machine ID I assign to each GPU and my SMP client?

Can you fold on all your GPUs? If so I want details!

Machine ID doesn't matter as long as they are all different.

Well, I only have 2 single cards, so I don't know how it works with GX2s, but what I did was go to "adjust resolution", click detect, and then display on VGA (from the dropdown thingy). I could repeat twice, so I had 4 "monitors" listed (2 real, 2 fake). I guess it allows one for each display port it detects. Give this a try with your GX2s and post the results!

I have it as 1 per card, I'll double check, maybe it auto disables it in 7? I take my pc from home to work, home I have one lcd and work I have 2. I'll have to double check next week since I dont work fridays.

Ok this is weird, look at this screen shot, It shows the 6 monitors in the menu but when I try and click the check box to extend it, nothing happens no error no check nothing.... And on the windows screen resolution thing it only shows 4 monitors.
