Default Using Teamviewer to help new folders get setup.

A few weeks ago I helped a friend that folds for OCN set up VMWare/Ubuntu on his computer using Teamviewer. As I was helping him get setup I thought about all the posts here from members having problems getting setup. Because it wasn't commercial I don't see how using Teamviewer is a problem. And I'm sure with all the folders here that people could be available to help.

Anyway it was just a thought.

Comments?

The problem I see is the amount of lazy people that just want others to do it for them...

Possibly. Even if lazy they would still be donating.

I think that if help was offered like this then it may get more people involved. GPU2 installs itself but VMware could be a lil uncomfortable for some. Lots of work can be done cpu style. And lots of overclocked cpus around these parts.

I dunno, I like the way if one member has a problem, then everyone gets an answer. I mean, the amount of times I've just been browsing and found something I've used later on is amazing.

It would be handy for computer-illiterate people, but they shouldn't be on this site

Kidding :P

You say that lazy people would make it not worth it... but if you simply read the person, deem whether they are being lazy or not. If they're lazy, have them fold under your ID so you get more! Folding wins, you win, the other person thinks they are winning!
