Default Im Back! Plan on firing up the rigs tonight.

Hey guys, not sure if you remember me I my rig has been down for awhile. Tonight I plan on firing up the rig and hopefully get the E8600 stable around 4.5ghz. That was my original goal before I stopped. Another goal is to break 1mil points, Sooo close I can taste it. 936,349 so far, gonna take awhile with just a CPU rig for now.

I have been out for awhile, how are ATI cards folding now?

Still not folding as efficiently as nvidia cards, but that may change in GPU3 which should come out in the next 6 months.

Your 2 4870's should do around 7,500 PPD.

It would definitely be better if you folded on your 2 GPUs instead of the CPU... and use that i7 for another 5k+ (depending on how you have it OC'd)

Well I really dont plan on folding with my gaming rig, I dont trust it to fold 24/7 I had some weird things happen with the pump power connectors unplugging on their own.

I built a dedicated CPU rig for the cpu competitions. Its quiet and I feel more comfortable with it running 24/7. I am going to dust it off now and see where I left off.

I remember being stable in Linux but I tried loading W7 it kept giving me a BSOD.

Sounds like you need a roll of duct tape for that.
