I'm running an SMP client on my Q6600 and am getting only 558.28 PPD.
Anyone know if this is normal?

Seems a little low if you're running it all day.

Yeah, I get about that too at 3GHz, but that is running with 100% of the CPU requested. Just thought, he might be telling it to want less.

Which client are you running and with what flags enabled?

Most likely its the unicore client, not the smp client. Probably forgot to add the flags.

That's exactly why I was asking that question.

I'm running the console MPICH client and I added these tags (in order) -verbosity 9 -local -smp
what am I doing wrong?

Use the -smp 4 flag and see if that fixes the problem.

Now I'm using the -verbosity 9 -local -smp 4 arguments.
How do I know if it's working?
