Okay, another stoopid Q... I got my bosses allendale folding 2 instances from 2 directories using 2 machine id's.

Using fahmon, and assigning each process to a core, one has an eta of 8 days (which I understand will settle down) however it says each core is at 8% and only one has an eta(8 days), the other says N/A.

Also they both are working on the same WU. Also I explained the cause to him & said I only allocated 30% each core, he said overclock it more and give it more %.

Stupid Allendalle, it's now at 2.66 on air I cant remember the fsb but I think 316 with ram dividers and a tickle of volts on stock cooler... 24sec 1m superPI.

My sig system is SuperPi 36 sec. Most annoying this is our cpu's cost the same, just I got mine 4 months ago.

ya, give them more to work with as F@H only uses free clock cycles. and make sure the affinity is set so one cpu core works on each F@H core.

Unless I can limit services version ram usage more, I have had to disable my telly from folding - it's only a PIII 600 but it takes that stinking rambus ram and only has 128mb.

SheWho is annoyed it takes too long to turn the telly on now and, I have no option.

It was using 50mb, and I did set it to minimal usage in the console setup. Also limiting it to 16 ~ 20mb would be more appealing to the school suite if we start folding there. I don't think I can sell 'em more memory at the moment

Ok I downloaded and instaled F@H... littlered icon says loading and has been doing so for the past 30mins. I'e got cable. on the display it's now waiting for core 20...it goes up every 30secs or so ????
Also at the bottom of the display it says could not connect to secondary assignment server t ????
Is something wrong here?

Are using a firewall? Might check that.

Yep I allowed F@H access through the firewall. Perhaps I downloaded the wrong version??? I just downloaded the first one there for windows

Software or Hardware firewall?

Remember if your Xtra modem (If your with xtra) also runs a scaled down virtual server and you need to forward ports through that.
