Mine does run with an icon in the taskbar, but it loads on windows startup. It did this by default when I installed so I left it. I am not worried about it being hidden at all, just maximizing production. This will come in handy more when my E6600 build is finished later this month.

I didn't know where else to post this, but I am getting a problem w/ this software. I recently (today) reformatted my computer and it began slowing down again. I looked at the processes running and it showed a process named FahCore_82 taking up to 60% of my processing power. I googled it and it showed it as the AMBER core for folding. I am fine w/ this running, but not ok with it taking up this much power. What can I do to make it stop? I want to fold and help, but I mean seriously...

i would make a thread in the folding section with your problem, but why if you reformatted did folding just come back or did you rienstall it

and folding doesnt really slow down your comp, it uses idle clocks or whatever that arent being used by any thiing else

If you're getting an icon on the task bar, you're probably running the graphical version. Just be sure to add the flags to the shortcut in your startup directory rather than the one on your desktop. That'll ensure your chosen flags are executed.

Yeah, I'm running the graphical version. Deleted my desktop shortcut and added them to the startup folder shortcut. Thanks again for the help.

Did you change the machine IDs on the two instances to be different? Are you using the console version?
