Ok, that's what I figured. 5.03 is the old console client for uniprocessors. Have you tried to run SMP and the GPU2 clients on your rig? I forgot about running 5.03, everyone these days runs SMP or GPU2. Sorry for my mis-speaking earlier. You are correct in the fact you can run 5.03 and the GPU2 client on a duo in XP.

i was wanting to try out folding. but the system tray client won't install. it say: cab file corrupt or damaged part way through install. i dunno what to do at this point. any help appreciated

I just started folding with my GTX280 superclocked using the GPU2 exe, and my p4d 955 xe @ 4.5Ghz. :-)

well here I am 2 days later, and I have 17,000 points. I project that I'll be on the list by tomorrow morning. I seem to be getting about 6000 points a day.

I'm running GPU2 client on my GTX280 Superclocked
I'm running the win32 SMP client only when I'm sleeping, and at work on the same machine
I also installed a linux client on my firewall using a single core p4 2.4Ghz w/512M (it's almost not worth it @ 60ppd benchmark, well when you compair to the 7000ppd that my GPU is getting)

My GPU averages 1 WU every 1.75 hours. :-D

Lets say I have 3 computers

1 computer is my sig rig, another is on my tv stand acting as a media server/htpc and another computer yet is put away in a closet not being used for anything.

Is there some way I could get them all to work together and crank out some mad WU's? I folded for a day or 2 a long time ago with my old rig and want to try it again. I would really be interested to know how I could cluster these machines together.

I have 3 computers folding. My sig rig has SMP and GPU2 a 4400x2 and a 4200x2 cpu folding. It;s not hard just enter in your info on each one and use FahMon to monitor it.
