The add to your points. For me there are 4 different things they are working on.

My primary folding GPU I'm now trying overclocked. I'm paying close attention to my PSU voltage, and I'm also keeping the GPU temp around 75c. In this screenshot the fan is still on auto, I now have it set to 80% and with GPU2 running it's a consistent 72c.

According to the team ranking on this site I'm ranked #734. I have only been folding for about a week now.

Anyone know how to fold on the xbox? I know that they have a linux client, and I have a modded original xbox, would I be able to do something like that, and if so, can you please explain how I would go about getting started with it.

You could, but really why would you. The original xbox has a 733mhz proc, and 64mb ram. I really don't think it would fold all that much. It would take over a week per WU. I have 5 or so mod'd xbox's, and I'll just keep using them as media centers, and things like that.

Well I don't use my xbox that much, I'd like to put it to use. I just need to know how I'd do it. I have Damn Small Linux on a CD that I can load up, and I'd love to just be able to add those points to my total. For some reason, I have my computer running it and I've set it to 100% CPU usage when it can (I have the systray version with the viewer) and it's going really slow (about 8 hours in and I'm only 14% done, and I have a really good computer), and I have my girlfriend's computer running the console version as a service and it's almost 50% done, and hers has more steps than mine (mine has 250,000, hers has 2,500,000). Anyways, I wouldn't care about the time it would take per WU, it would still be a contribution, wouldn't it?

Better architecture for doing some processing. My video card has 240 1.512Ghz cores, compare that to a 3Ghz quad-core. Even still CPU's are designed to still be able to run a single treaded application at an acceptable speed, GPU's are not. My one video card is claimed to have right under 1 TeraFLOP using single precision floating point code, but (I believe) around 93 GigaFLOPs while using double precision floating point.
__________________I can't wait.. I one month I'll have another machine with 2 eVGA GTX 280 Superclocked's in it! I should do somewhere around 21,000 PPD then. :-) My one GTX 280 is (according to FahMon) doing between 6800, and 7800 PPD depending on the WU.
