So in theory my sig plus 3300@2.2/1Gb@400mhz/GeFore6200@stock plus HP Laptop/2Ghz/1Gb@667 would cost me now more than 50mb of data from my daily quota...

Nope, much less. You can't fold on the 6200 first of all (must be 8series or higher) so that's out. Plus CPU WUs take a day at least to complete, so once you download it that's it for the day.

The only thing downloading consistently is your sig GPU. It's not a great folder, so I say if you folded 24/7 on it you'd get less that 2,000PPD, so maybe only 7/8 WUs a day. That's ~25MB form the GPU, then maybe 10 from the CPUs every 2/3 days.

As long as you use the same username and team number you're good to go...

I might get flamed for this, but I didn't want to have to read through 20 FAQs/white papers/docs.

a) Is there a limit to the number of PCs you can attach to one user? (I have 5 laptops and 7 PCs at home)
b) Is the thing easy to uninstall if it's adversely affecting performance?

Just curious. My g/f's dad has Alzheimers. If I can put all my PCs to work helping find a cure, she won't have to cry anymore. And that'll do me good. I hate when she's sad.

Thanks.

There is no limit to the # of CPUs and GPUs you can have folding under one user. And yes it is very easy to uninstall should you so desire.

Cool. Thanks very much. Oh btw...exactly how old can the computer be? I have a P5-120 laptop with Windows 98SE on it. with 80MB ram

Thanks very much again. I'll look into setting up some of the boxes at home for it once I get my shed built.

I like this site already
