Default CS:S frames start of low then go back to normal?

Hey guys I have been having a problem with CS:S, at first I didn't have my AV on so i got a virus and had to get rid of that but now I'm all clean. So lately I have been running CS:S with my AV on and when I just get spawned I get like 13-17 FPS but after playing for awhile its usually around 50-60 so whats the problem?

Looks like you have "wait for vertical sync" on, turn it off. That card should get far better fps.

I would say maybe its normal, b/c usually that would happen to me on my other older PC. It would lag for a while when I first load in and then it would go to normal. I'm not sure though...b/c ur PC is way better than the one it happens on.

If all settings are on Hi, that seems right. Prob just ram or cpu catching up. If you play de Aztec does it get worse?
