Taking Suggestions for our OCN TF2 Server - Overclock.net

You voted, wanted a TF2 server, and got it. Now there aren't that many people playing. What can we do to make this a populated fun server to play on? We are looking for your opinion. I can't make any guarantees but would like to hear what everyone thinks.

Also, how would everyone like the server to be 24/7 dustbowl? As it's a very balanced map (sides switch when one team wins/loses) and it's one of the most popular maps.

Also, who would be interested in some sort of 4-man team TF2 OCN tournament?

24/7 Dustbowl sounds great I usually play as a medic or a engineer. I would be up for a tournament but I've only been playing for a couple of weeks. So I may be a last choice if needed.

That would be pretty cool, or what about adding some of the custom maps, like mariokart. Or some melee maps.

ARGGHH! no one can get on. Fix it! I think it's cause of the update today.

Try different things for 1 week periods and see how the response is.

-Allow mapvote more frequently, especially when I'm the only one in the server.... waiting 30 mins for a map change (WELL CP comes to mind) makes me want to leave and play elsewhere.
-24/7 dustbowl is okay, but there are several other servers out there doing that and they aren't busy...still worth a shot
- custom maps are fun and allow for variety (I usually hear "cool! a new map" from other plays on the custom map servers

My observation is that most OCN players (that I have in my friends list) don't immediately jump into our server when they log into TF2, but go to other servers first. Maybe we need change the culture of the server a bit? If we would all join for 5 mins first and see what happens, maybe we'll fill up the server.

Just throwin' out ideas here.

I was thinking of trying to get people to join our server first for 5 min and just see if people come before joining their regular server.
